Absolutely 10/10 experience at the White Hare Cafe! We were given such a lovely welcome upon arriving, our dog was showered with attention (and treats). Service was so friendly, warm and attentive. I had a flat white and the chilli nachos, both were really tasty and very very affordably priced! (Almost too cheap given how nice an experience it was) For a dog and human friendly cafe in Kirkby Stephen, I would absolutely recommend the White Hare.
One of our favourite places we found to eat. Very welcoming, great atmosphere, and friendly. Everything on the menu appealed to us. Really happy with our food and service. We bought some art that is available near the front door and there's other things inside for sale too. Love it we look forward to going back sometime.
We (4 of us) went earlier today with our 2 dogs. What a gem of a place this is. I had ploughman's which was so filling and had lots of items. Guy who served us was so accommodating and even brought sausage slices over for the dogs. Highly recommend this cafe - thank you xxx
What a wonderful place ! The couple who run this dog friendly establishment are super friendly, welcoming and helpful - They never stop! The food is fantastic, proper local food, a great Ploughman’s and other selections and what a range of coffees (although I went for a Yorkshire cup of tea) We can’t wait to visit again soon! Thank you !!
Lovely friendly service, our dog was treated like absolute royalty with a water bowl and homemade dog treats brought out for her before we'd even got sat down! Service was fast, food was tasty, and the prices were very reasonable. We'll be back
Lovely little cafe - easily the most dog friendly place we’ve ever visited! Fast service, great coffee and yummy breakfast. Owner was lovely and very knowledgeable about local walks in the area. Would definitely recommend!!
Called in here on way home from Blackpool. Very friendly and comfortable. We had breakfast items and cake. The carrot cake was delicious. The prices are very reasonable. Would definitely recommend.
We visited this cafe for lunch on our way home from the Lakes. I struggled to choose what to have as everything on the menu sounded so good! I settled for soup and a toastie which were both delicious and the portions were very generous. My partner was very pleased to be able to get a sausage, bacon & bean sandwich cooked and presented exactly how he likes it too. The owners were fantastic and took the time to chat with us and other customers and also made a fuss of our dog and another dog in the cafe which was very much appreciated. This is a traditional style cafe and exactly what we were looking for. As I am coming down with a cold the soup was exactly what I needed and I wish I’d bought more to bring home! Thank you both and I hope to visit again in future.
